Privacy Policy

Resonate ("Resonate", "we", "us") is operated by David Aragon, an individual, at resonatecircle.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Resonate is a personal-network app and a scheduling tool for student clubs.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address and sign-in details, name, and an optional profile photo.
- Content you add: people you add or import (a name, plus any email, phone number, company, city or birthday you choose to include), the groups and places you associate them with, notes, and summaries of conversations you log.
- Log a talk input: the voice transcript or text you submit, which is sent to our server and to our AI provider to produce notes.
- Google Calendar availability, only if you connect it (see below).
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and error logs, used for security and debugging.
Google user data
If you choose to connect Google Calendar, Resonate requests view-only free/busy availability: the time blocks when you are busy or free. We do not access event titles, descriptions, attendees, locations or any other event details.

Resonate's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can revoke access at any time in the app or at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
How we use data
- To run the app: build your morning Signal, store your people and notes, and schedule club events.
- To process conversations you log with an AI service (see below).
- To secure, debug and improve the service. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
Who we share data with
- Supabase for the database, authentication and file storage, and Vercel for hosting.
- Anthropic for AI processing. When you use Log a talk, the text you submit is sent to Anthropic's API to extract notes, and we ask for your permission before your first use. We do not send Google Calendar data to Anthropic.
- Authorities or advisers when the law requires it.
Discover
Discover is optional. If you turn it on, people who share a mutual connection with you may see your name, profile photo and the interests you choose to share, and you may see theirs. You appear in Discover only if you opt in, and you can turn it off at any time. Introductions are sent by you, through a friend you both know. We do not show non-users in Discover.
People you add
Resonate stores information about people you add, who may not use Resonate. That information is visible only to you unless you choose to share it. If you are one of those people and want information about you removed, email [email protected].
Your choices
- Edit or delete people, notes and logs in the app at any time.
- Disconnect Google Calendar at any time.
- Ask us to export or delete your account and all associated data by emailing [email protected]. We act on requests within 30 days.
Retention and security
We keep your data while your account is active and delete it within 30 days after you delete your account, except where we must keep limited records by law. Data is encrypted in transit, and access is restricted per user by row-level security in our database. No system is perfectly secure.
Children
Resonate is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
We will post changes on this page and update the effective date. If a change affects how we use Google user data, we will notify you in the app first.
