Rooms by Resonate
A room is a QR code on the screen at your event. Guests scan it, choose whether to be seen, and connect by request. It opens two hours before and closes a day after.
- One night, one place, one code. Nothing to download: it opens in the browser.
- Names appear once five people choose to be seen. Nobody is added to anyone’s people.
- Who was there is deleted within 30 days.

How a room works for your guests, as it reads on the back of the table tent.
- 1Scan the code.Nothing happens until you say so. Scanning never connects you to anyone.
- 2Show yourself or just look.Show yourself in the room, or just look. Both are fine.
- 3Connect is a request.They can say yes tomorrow.
What the room never does.
The rules are in the database, not just the design.
Scanning never connects you.A scan only opens the room.
Every Connect is a request.A decline looks the same as no answer.
No list before five.Until five people have chosen to be seen, the room says “You’re early” and shows no names.
Invisible is a real choice.“Just look” lets you in and nobody sees you. To see who’s here, you show yourself too.
The room closes a day later.“This room has closed.” Requests already sent can still be answered, and who was there is deleted within 30 days.
No crowd numbers. No “most connected”, no tallies, no ranks.
One line for the room.
Hosts pick one, say it out loud or put it on the screen, and use a different one next time. The screen at the top of this page turns through all five.

On the table.
What a host puts out. One ink, forest, on uncoated paper: the venue name is large, the QR is the bold element, and “rooms by resonate” is small. Ask for the print files when you email us.
- Make the room.In Resonate, tap Host an event and give it a name, a place and a time. Or email us and we'll set it up with you.
- Put the code out.The QR code goes on the screen by the door and on a tent at each table.
- Let it run.The room opens two hours before the start and closes a day after the end.

STORY RECAP · for the next morning
Names, not tallies. “You met Maya and Dev”, never “you met 12 people”.
Never ranks. No “most connected”, no leaderboard, no badges for volume.
Overlap needs two yeses. Who you have in common shows only after you both agree to share it.
